u3a FESTIVAL 24 IN YORK

Last week, several hundred members from the UK came together in the sunshine for the first ever u3a Festival.

Over three days, in the relaxed and spacious surroundings of the University, members chose from a list of over 80 activities.

There was beginners painting here, jewellery making there, a talk on the human brain in this room, making music in that auditorium, sampling different sports outside, and guided walking tours around historic York for those with surplus energy .......

This was a splendid showcase for u3a - organised by members, delivered by members, and enjoyed by members.

BH u3a AT SOUTHBOURNE FESTIVAL

As in previous years, our pop-up stall took a place among scores of traders at the Shake and Stir festival in Fisherman's Walk across the weekend of 22/23 June.

Our thanks go to our members who volunteered to staff the stall for a couple of hours to answer membership enquiries.
